We had such a great time with Joshua and Ramona; they were such gracious hosts, fantastic cooks, and just plain fun to hang out with!
Our adventures included climbing one of the towers of the Grösmunster, pressing our foreheads to the windows of the stunning museum of Le Corbusier, strolling along the edge of Lake Zurich, napping in a field of grass, riding bikes past fields of Rapes, and visiting Swiss cows, who's milk we enjoyed in our coffee.
We left Zurich yesterday by train bound for Lugano, which is on the border of Switzerland and Italy. It was not easy to say goodby to Ramona, who helped us onto the correct train, who we had so recently said hello to! We always look forward to seeing those two again.
The train ride was breathtaking. Unending jaw-dropping beauty is how Steve described it. The train passed by many a stunning vista after mind-blowing views of blue alpine lakes, snow topped mountains, many, many waterfalls, ancient stone church towers, countless flowering trees, and picturesque towns.
After the train ride, we grabbed some espresso and managed to get ourselves onto the correct bus to Menaggio, which is where we are now. Today we are going to explore the hills surrounding Lake Como, and tomorrow we will continue to Milan! <3 -kris10+Steve
